What do you mean by a trusted, safe community ?

Our vision is to build a trusted, safe online community of international students globally. What do we mean by that? Well, we want all our members to trust each other and the community, and to trust the MeStudent platform. But how is trust built? There is a simple formula to building trust, that begins with getting to know someone, or in this case, MeStudent. Once you feel comfortable enough, you begin to share information with each other and on the basis of these exchanges you decide on the level of trust that you are willing to extend.

In the MeStudent community we require that our members be open about themselves and be willing to share their information with others. Feeling safe online means being protected by software, feeling confident that the application you are using has been made professionally and feeling sure that the people who are using it are providing real information about themselves.

Moreover, it’s good to remember that MeStudent is ‘Made in Australia' :) This means that we are subject to all the Australian laws, rules and regulations, which are very strict, particularly regarding privacy. Australia is a democratic country and we believe that operating MeStudent from Australia lends us an extra level of trustworthiness.

A trusted and safe community is a community where you can feel confident to make friends online before your journey to Australia. Wouldn’t it be great to know someone local before you land in Sydney, or Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Newcastle, Wollongong, Perth, Hobart, Canberra, Rockhampton, or Darwin?! There are international students in each of these cities who are willing to help, and we want you to get to know them before you arrive to Australia.
